About the Kennebunk Lacrosse Club |
|
The Kennebunk Lacrosse Club has been in existence since 1988. It was first started as a high school program for girls and boys and then progressed to a varsity sport. Youth teams were added to the club in the mid-1990’s. Grades 3 and 4 were added in 2004. The Kennebunk Lacrosse Club now includes approximately 200 players from grades 3-8 every year. The Kennebunk Lacrosse Club is a volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to young lacrosse players and their families (of all socio-economic backrounds) in Kennebunk, Kennebunkport and Arundel. We are an inclusive group whose primary goal is to expose the student athletes of these communities to the exciting, competitive game of lacrosse while at the same time nurturing and improving individual skills and cohesive team environments. By doing so, the Club hopes to instill life long values of hard work, teamwork and sportsmanship in the student athletes as well as a love for the game of lacrosse. Many people wonder why lacrosse cost more than some other club sports. In the spirit of Board transparency, listed below are the many different costs associated with running the Kennebunk Lacrosse Club. If you have any questions, please contact a Board member.
